About the Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System PCB

Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System is an open source ESP32 PCB design by MantasM11, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 61 components from 26 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1(N16), from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the SN65HVD230DR, AP63203WU-7, CH340C, ADUM3160BRWZ-RL and HC-TYPE-C-16P-01A. By type, the board carries 26 resistors, 14 capacitors, 7 diodes, 6 ICs, 3 transistors and 3 switches.

From the project

This project is a multi-channel CAN interface control system built around the ESP32-S3. It allows switching between six independent CAN channels and monitoring CAN traffic in real time through a web-based interface.

This project was developed as a Bachelor's thesis at Vilnius Tech.

The goal was to simplify CAN network testing and diagnostics by eliminating the need to manually reconnect CAN devices during development and validation.

The system allows switching between six independent CAN channels while monitoring CAN traffic in real time through a web-based interface. Only one channel can be active at a time, preventing communication conflicts between connected devices.

Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System: common questions

What microcontroller does the Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System use?

The Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1(N16), from the ESP32 family.

How many components are on the Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System?

61 components, from 26 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System design files?

From the MantasM11/Development-of-a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MantasM11. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Development of a-Multi-Channel-CAN-Interface-Control-System without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
