Its main chip is the E73-2G4M08S1C, from the Nordic nRF family. Other key parts include the MCP1700-3302E_SOT23. By type, the board carries 18 capacitors, 14 resistors, 5 connectors, 5 diodes, 2 ICs and 2 transistors.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, displays & leds and wearables designs in this gallery.
From the project
This is a joint project between Larry Bank and Fasani Corp with the purpouse to make an easy and unexpensive nRF52 BLE badge with a SPI 2.9", a QWIIC connector, and on board RTC
This PCB design is based on this nRF52 module datasheet
The most important goals that this PCB achieves:
- Very low power consumption. In factors of 2 digits micro-amperes (uA) per minute - Simple user interface with a multi-directional switch (up, down, select) - All open source, including the BLE sending program (MacOS /iOS) - Very simple design and schematics - QWIIC connector so can support external I2C sensors (Consumption limit: 200mA, limited by LDO MCP1700-330)
