About the Weather station-Sensor board

Weather station-Sensor board is an open source PCB design by Matyas604, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 75.2 × 36.5 mm, with 28 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SHT40-AD1B-R2, BMP280, SGP41-D-R4, LM393 and AS3935. By type, the board carries 12 capacitors, 6 resistors, 5 ICs, 3 connectors and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the sensors and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

A weather station that sends data via Wi-Fi to Home Assistant. It uses an ESP-32 and ESPHome code. It measures temperature, humidity, pressure, air quality, wind speed, lightning distance and energy, and whether it is raining.

This project was more about 3D modeling than PCB design, but in the end, I’m very satisfied.

⚠️The screw and nuts for the anemometer and the rods for the radiation shield must be made of brass, because brass is non-magnetic and therefore will not interfere with the lightning detection antenna, unlike iron or steel!
