About the Split keyboard PCB
Split keyboard is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by MohamadAminGhanoum, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 293.5 × 114.5 mm, with 48 components from 7 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-nRF52840-SMD, from the Nordic nRF family. Other key parts include the DM-OLED096-636. By type, the board carries 22 switches, 21 diodes, 2 ICs, 2 resistors and 1 connector.
It belongs with the keyboards, iot & wireless and displays & leds designs in this gallery.
From the project
A custom split keyboard that i want to replace my current old keyboard that i have.
This split keyboard uses Cherry MX Gateron switches, which i chose because i want this amazing sound. It also has rechargable Lithium batteries, which is great because the keyboard does not need to be plugged in the whole time.

Split keyboard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Split keyboard use?
The Split keyboard is built around the XIAO-nRF52840-SMD, from the Nordic nRF family.
How big is the Split keyboard PCB?
The Split keyboard measures 293.5 × 114.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Split keyboard?
48 components, from 7 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Split keyboard design files?
From the MohamadAminGhanoum/Split-keyboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Split keyboard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MohamadAminGhanoum. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Split keyboard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
