From the project

All critical sub-circuits were validated through analytical and SPICE-level simulations:

All critical sub-circuits were validated through analytical and SPICE-level simulations:

1. Power-On Reset Delay: $R3=10\,\text{k}\Omega, C3=1.0\,\mu\text{F} \rightarrow \mathbf{13.86\,\text{ms}}$ delay to $V{IH}$ ($2.77\times$ safety margin over Espressif's 5ms spec). 2. Motor Driver Thermal Rise: $P{cond} = 43.2\,\text{mW}$ per motor at hover $\rightarrow \mathbf{\Delta T < 4.5^\circ\text{C}}$ junction rise; B5819W clamps flyback safely to $4.58\,\text{V}$. 3. LDO Headroom: Ultra-low dropout ($55\,\text{mV}$ @ 200mA) maintains clean $3.30\,\text{V}$ regulation down to the $3.45\,\text{V}$…

Litewing-65-flight controller: common questions

What microcontroller does the Litewing-65-flight controller use?

The Litewing-65-flight controller is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Litewing-65-flight controller PCB?

The Litewing-65-flight controller measures 100 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Litewing-65-flight controller?

83 components, from 43 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Litewing-65-flight controller design files?

From the neilgibsonpinto-art/litewing-65-flight-controller repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Litewing-65-flight controller design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with neilgibsonpinto-art. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Litewing-65-flight controller without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
