About the Integrated board

Integrated board is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Open-2-Photon-Microscope, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 98.5 × 111 mm, with 65 components from 34 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the LM2596T-5, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the ULN2003 and ESP32-DEVKITC-32D. By type, the board carries 23 resistors, 20 connectors, 15 capacitors, 4 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

Integrated board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Integrated board use?

The Integrated board is built around the LM2596T-5, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Integrated board?

The Integrated board measures 98.5 × 111 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Integrated board?

65 components, from 34 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Integrated board design files?

From the Open-2-Photon-Microscope/3-axis-controller repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Integrated board design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-1.2 license, which Open-2-Photon-Microscope chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Integrated board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
