About the Near365 PCB

Near365 is an open source ESP32 PCB design by PuurfectDev-MD, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 110.1 × 130.9 mm, with 37 components from 27 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TC00500, CR2013-MI2120, Sd card breakout module, ZC440600 and AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 9 resistors, 7 ICs, 5 switches, 4 diodes and 2 connectors.

It belongs with the audio, displays & leds and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Just a fun gift idea.

Music Player v1 is a interactive media device (media form: music, voice recording, text, gifs and video possibly) powered by an ESP32-S3.I designed it as a personalized gift,to play unique music, affirmations, every single day onpre-programmed schedule. v2 will have an APi endpoint to post voice recordings over the internet and other cool features. The device is a complete package for audio related projects and can be modified into other creative ideas like - (voice journal keeper, online music streaming and many more!)

Near365: common questions

What microcontroller does the Near365 use?

The Near365 is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Near365 PCB?

The Near365 measures 110.1 × 130.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Near365?

37 components, from 27 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Near365 design files?

From the PuurfectDev-MD/Near365 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Near365 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with PuurfectDev-MD. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Near365 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
