About the USlime PCB

USlime is an open source ESP32 PCB design by ReSummit, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 25 × 22.6 mm, with 37 components from 27 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C6-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the BNO085, MSK-12C02_SMD_SPDT_SWITCH and AP2112K-3.3TRG1. By type, the board carries 17 resistors, 7 capacitors, 5 ICs, 3 connectors, 3 diodes and 1 LED.

Micro form of SlimeVR trackers using BNO085

Micro form of SlimeVR trackers using BNO085 and ESP32-C6-MINI module, as small as possible

Limited to 1 sided PCB but utilizes two layer to achieve a maximal dimension of 25mm x 28mm (including the ESP32-C6-MINI module)

Also includes some test points if you wanna add idk RGB lights to it or something like that lol

Currently, v1.0.0 is the preferred PCB version and is listed in the releases. As a note, your red charge LED will always be on while the device is on. While this makes for a good indicator that your tracker is on, some may not like that the LED is always on. v1.1.0 fixes this but…

USlime: common questions

What microcontroller does the USlime use?

The USlime is built around the ESP32-C6-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the USlime PCB?

The USlime measures 25 × 22.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the USlime?

37 components, from 27 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the USlime design files?

From the ReSummit/uSlime repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the USlime design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which ReSummit chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the USlime without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
