About the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition PCB

Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Rev1s10n, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 264 × 163 mm, with 141 components from 45 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the TLV73333PDBV, W25Q128JVS and SN74LV1T34DBVR. By type, the board carries 53 capacitors, 37 diodes, 27 switches, 13 resistors, 4 ICs and 2 fuses.

It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

All button controller powered by GP2040-CE firmware, with custom 16 buttons layout.

I would suggest not build this yourself at this momemnt as there's some design flaws, which makes it really difficult to assemble A new case design might come in the future

Close up photos and feature explain: Fully redesigned circuit board with custom layout for my own comfort, passthrough device is now within the enclosure 1 additional tactile switch for function key, and custom display layout Passthrough device can be selected with this slide switch This time these switches is on the top side

Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition: common questions

What microcontroller does the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition use?

The Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition PCB?

The Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition measures 264 × 163 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition?

141 components, from 45 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition design files?

From the Rev1s10n/Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Rev1s10n. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Tri-Hard-Slab-Arcade-Edition without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
