Its main chip is the Samsung Electro-Mechanics CL10B104KB8NFNC, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TOSHIBA TBD62083AFG,EL, Texas Instruments TCAN332DR and Diodes Incorporated AP63205WU-7. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 3 ICs, 2 diodes, 2 resistors and 1 inductor.

From the project

ESP32 based LCC Boards

This is a collection of Model Railroad open hardware and open source projects, using LCC / OpenMRNIDF, for the ESP32 family of MCUs

These projects were created using Kicad 2013.06.11 (https://launchpad.net/kicad) under CentOS 6 and Kicad 4.0.7 under Ubuntu 18.04. Each subdirectory is one project, and contains a schematic and PCB design or contains a program for one (or more) projects. There is also software for the boards using OpenMRNIDF (C++ library for OpenLCB/LCC) for these projects.

ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer use?

The ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer is built around the Samsung Electro-Mechanics CL10B104KB8NFNC, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer PCB?

The ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer measures 69.9 × 62.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer?

15 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer design files?

From the RobertPHeller/ESP32-LCC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which RobertPHeller chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32-Mini32-OctalBuffer without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
