From the project

ESP32 based LCC Boards

This is a collection of Model Railroad open hardware and open source projects, using LCC / OpenMRNIDF, for the ESP32 family of MCUs

These projects were created using Kicad 2013.06.11 (https://launchpad.net/kicad) under CentOS 6 and Kicad 4.0.7 under Ubuntu 18.04. Each subdirectory is one project, and contains a schematic and PCB design or contains a program for one (or more) projects. There is also software for the boards using OpenMRNIDF (C++ library for OpenLCB/LCC) for these projects.

ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction use?

The ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction is built around the ESP32-D0WD-V3, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction PCB?

The ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction measures 104.1 × 127 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction?

137 components, from 66 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction design files?

From the RobertPHeller/ESP32-LCC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which RobertPHeller chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32-D0WD-V3-MultiFunction without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
