From the project

A WiFi picture frame allowing for remote photo uploads, using an ESP32-C3 and a 5.6" color E-ink display

This is the firmware, PCB artwork, schematics and case design for a WiFi-enabled color picture frame.

- case - OpenSCAD program to build the case. Change the 'render' variable to render the various parts. - www - PHP and C program running on the server that is used to upload/fetch the pictures. - firmware - ESP32C3 firmware. Make sure to run menuconfig to point this at your server. - pcb - Schematics and PCB artwork, in Kicad format.

Picframe colepd: common questions

What microcontroller does the Picframe colepd use?

The Picframe colepd is built around the ESP32-C3-WROOM-02, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Picframe colepd PCB?

The Picframe colepd measures 155.5 × 130 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Picframe colepd?

52 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Picframe colepd design files?

From the Spritetm/picframe_colepd repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Picframe colepd design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Spritetm. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Picframe colepd without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
