About the GameConsoleV2 PCB
GameConsoleV2 is an open source PCB design by ThroatyMumbo, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 200 × 150 mm, with 38 components from 24 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the AP63203WU, PCM5102A_Board and Pimoroni_PGA2350. By type, the board carries 17 resistors, 6 connectors, 6 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 switches and 2 diodes.
It belongs with the retro computing, audio and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
RP2350-based retro style game console
This is the 2nd iteration of an ongoing project where I'm attempting to create my own homemade "retro" game console.
The rules are pretty straightforward: 1) No modern ports or protocols (no USB, HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth, SD cards, etc.) 2) Games must be cartridge based (and must use parallel communication rather than serial) 3) Composite AV only (no VGA, S-Video, etc.)
