About the Ts14-arduino shield
Ts14-arduino shield is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by tropicsquare, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 58 × 53 mm, with 13 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ARDUINO_UNO_R3_SHIELD, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the TROPIC01_CHIP and TXU0304PWR. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 3 resistors, 2 ICs, 1 connector and 1 diode.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.
From the project
Repository collects hw resources for development boards which are available for the TROPIC01 chip
TS14 – TROPIC01 Arduino Shield A KiCad-based hardware project designed to interface the TROPIC01 device with standard Arduino development boards.
This shield allows easy integration of TROPIC01 into Arduino-based environments for development, testing, and prototyping. It is intended for internal use and partner evaluation setups, following the Arduino mechanical and electrical interface.

Ts14-arduino shield: common questions
What microcontroller does the Ts14-arduino shield use?
The Ts14-arduino shield is built around the ARDUINO_UNO_R3_SHIELD, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Ts14-arduino shield?
The Ts14-arduino shield measures 58 × 53 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Ts14-arduino shield?
13 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Ts14-arduino shield design files?
From the tropicsquare/devboards repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Ts14-arduino shield design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which tropicsquare chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Ts14-arduino shield without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
