About the Ttntrackernode PCB

Ttntrackernode is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ttnmapper, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 48 × 75 mm, with 82 components from 38 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATMEGA32U4-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MCP73831/2, TLV71333PDBV, ublox-cam-m8q-0, RN2483 and LIS3DH. By type, the board carries 31 capacitors, 14 resistors, 11 connectors, 8 test points, 7 ICs and 6 diodes.

It belongs with the rf & radio and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

GPS Tracker device

The TTN Tracker is a Things Network node with a gps, used to map out coverage on TTN Mapper. The device is aimed at end users, but can also be reprogrammed by more advanced users.

Thisrepository contains the schematics used to create the device as well as any additional files and the firmware that was loaded on the device.

These are links to the datasheets of important components used in the design.

Ttntrackernode: common questions

What microcontroller does the Ttntrackernode use?

The Ttntrackernode is built around the ATMEGA32U4-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Ttntrackernode PCB?

The Ttntrackernode measures 48 × 75 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ttntrackernode?

82 components, from 38 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ttntrackernode design files?

From the ttnmapper/ttntrackernode repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ttntrackernode design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ttnmapper. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Ttntrackernode without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
