About the Mouse PCB

Mouse is an open source ESP32 PCB design by tyrityri23-lgtm, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 47.5 × 50 mm, with 12 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO ESP32C3, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the PMW3360DM-T2QU, AP2112K-1.8 and MCP23017x-x-ML. By type, the board carries 4 ICs, 4 switches and 4 resistors.

It belongs with the rf & radio and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

A custom cyberdeck for cybersecurity

i finished everything even the case and the code all that is left now is to get everything shipped and assembled

I will continue updating the repository as the custom wireless mouse hardware comes together. Once all the parts arrive and the build begins I will add assembly photos, firmware and documentation covering the process of the mouse build.

Mouse: common questions

What microcontroller does the Mouse use?

The Mouse is built around the XIAO ESP32C3, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Mouse PCB?

The Mouse measures 47.5 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mouse?

12 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mouse design files?

From the tyrityri23-lgtm/cyberdeck_from_radio repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mouse design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with tyrityri23-lgtm. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Mouse without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
