About the Slider synth PCB
Slider synth is an open source ESP32 PCB design by udu3324, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 94.6 × 25 mm, with 49 components from 26 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-2, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the LM3940IMPX-3.3/NOPB, MCP4922-E/SL and LM386. By type, the board carries 16 capacitors, 14 resistors, 5 ICs, 5 diodes, 4 connectors and 3 switches.
It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
A esp32 based synth that uses a touch pot and fsr.
A synth that uses a linear touch sensor with a force sensor underneath to create cool sounds. It is inspired by the modulin by wintergatan. Powered by the esp32-s3 and mozzi library.
I built this pcb to make my diy setup more professional. I originally hooked everything up with an arduino but was really hard to cary around without dropping the breadboard or unplugging something. This design leaves it hot pluggable as well as super professional and more polished.

Slider synth: common questions
What microcontroller does the Slider synth use?
The Slider synth is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-2, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Slider synth PCB?
The Slider synth measures 94.6 × 25 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Slider synth?
49 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Slider synth design files?
From the udu3324/slider-synth repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Slider synth design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which udu3324 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Slider synth without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
