KiCad project for the PCB in the payload of SOAR's IREC Rocket

This is the PCB for the payload of USF Society of Aeronautics and Rocketry's 2019 IREC rocket. The PCB is made in KiCad (pronounced key-cad). The different two parts of the payload are split into the folders payloadgroundpcb, the ground station, and payloadmainpcb, the cubesat payload, under those there are the files are:

avionics-\.pro - This is the base project which you should open in KiCad. avionics-\.sch - This is the sketch of the PCB and shows which components should be connected where. avionics-\.kicadpcb - This is the actual PCB that has the components laid out and connected with…

Avionics payload: common questions

How big is the Avionics payload PCB?

The Avionics payload measures 78 × 78 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Avionics payload?

31 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Avionics payload design files?

From the usfsoar/irec-avionics-payload-pcb repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Avionics payload design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with usfsoar. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
