- ProMicro size - To emulate a ProMicro, as the CH32V003 lacks sufficient GPIOs, pin 19 (20/A2) is connected to GND via a 0-ohm resistor (R5). - The MCU's VCC is set to 3.3V, but can be switched to 5V by connecting JP1 and removing the U2 3.3V regulator. - v1.1.0~: The USB D+/- is pre-wired to D3 and D4 for using rv003usb. If not used, simply do not mount the damping resistors. - The oscillator used is the MCU's built-in oscillator.

Ch32v003-promicro: common questions

What microcontroller does the Ch32v003-promicro use?

The Ch32v003-promicro is built around the CH32V003F4P6, from the RISC-V family.

How big is the Ch32v003-promicro PCB?

The Ch32v003-promicro measures 17.8 × 33 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ch32v003-promicro?

24 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ch32v003-promicro design files?

From the 74th/ch32v-dev-boards repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ch32v003-promicro design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which 74th chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Ch32v003-promicro without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RISC-V firmware against it before you order a PCB.
