From the project

Augmentative and alternative communications device design files based on inexpensive and open source technologies.

These directories contain design files for two versions of an AAC controller based on the Atmel ATmega32U4. The designs are functionally identical but use microcrontrollers in different form factors. Version 1.2 is based on an ATmega32U4-AU (44-TQFP) while version 1.3 is based on an ATmega32U4-MU (44-VQFNA).

The most recent firmware for the controller can be found here: https://github.com/AbilitySpectrum/netCle/tree/master/Arduino/HubV2

Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2: common questions

What microcontroller does the Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2 use?

The Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2 is built around the ATMEGA32U4-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2?

The Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2 measures 71.9 × 58.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2?

65 components, from 29 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2 design files?

From the Accessible-AAC/AAC-Devices repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Accessible-AAC. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Atmega32u4 hub pcb 1 2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
