About the Complete testboard PCB

Complete testboard is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by adsehgal, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 150 mm, with 126 components from 51 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATMEGA2560-16AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-5.0V, AMS1117-3.3V and CH340G. By type, the board carries 38 resistors, 30 diodes, 18 capacitors, 13 connectors, 7 switches and 4 ICs.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

This repo collates my senior design project at UCSC.

SlugCharge was a student run project geared towards helping the homeless communit of Santa Cruz, CA. The project was led by four Electrical Engineering students at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The team aimed towards providing solar powered charging stations to the community so they can stay conencted with family and potential employers that may turn their life around!

Complete testboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Complete testboard use?

The Complete testboard is built around the ATMEGA2560-16AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Complete testboard PCB?

The Complete testboard measures 100 × 150 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Complete testboard?

126 components, from 51 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Complete testboard design files?

From the adsehgal/SlugCharge repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Complete testboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with adsehgal. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Complete testboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
