From the project
NetStream: a lightweight programmable packet-processing SoC with CPU control plane and TCAM-based dataplane (parser -- match -- action), implemented on the Caravel open-source ASIC platform for edge networking.
To demonstrate deployment feasibility beyond standalone ASIC implementation, a system-level PCB integration architecture was developed for NetStream. It is being implemented on KiCAD.

NetStream-Caravel: common questions
What microcontroller does the NetStream-Caravel use?
The NetStream-Caravel is built around the XC7A100T-1CSG324C, from the FPGA family.
How many components are on the NetStream-Caravel?
192 components, from 41 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the NetStream-Caravel design files?
From the adulu-bang/NetStream-Caravel repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the NetStream-Caravel design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which adulu-bang chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the NetStream-Caravel without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
