About the Routeur solaire PCB
Routeur solaire is an open source ESP32 PCB design by aginies, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board, with 8 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117 and DS18B20. By type, the board carries 3 ICs, 1 connector, 1 fuse, 1 switch, 1 diode and 1 resistor.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, power & battery and displays & leds designs in this gallery.
From the project
Un Routeur Solaire autonome
This project is a high-performance C++ implementation of a Photovoltaic (PV) Router, optimized for the ESP32 platform using the Arduino framework and PlatformIO.
Ce projet est une implémentation C++ haute performance d'un Routeur Solaire Photovoltaïque (PV), optimisée pour la plateforme ESP32 en utilisant le framework Arduino et PlatformIO.
This C++ version is a migration from the original MicroPython implementation for domotique. The migration was performed by AI agents to achieve better performance, lower latency, and more robust execution on resource-constrained hardware.

Routeur solaire: common questions
What microcontroller does the Routeur solaire use?
The Routeur solaire is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Routeur solaire PCB?
The Routeur solaire has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Routeur solaire?
8 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Routeur solaire design files?
From the aginies/routeur_solaire repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Routeur solaire design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with aginies. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Routeur solaire without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
