About the Wakeboard PCB
Wakeboard is an open source ESP32 PCB design by alexspurling, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 33.6 × 56.4 mm, with 32 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the RT9080-33GJ5, LIS3DHTR_C15134 and MCP73831T-2ACI/OT. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 8 capacitors, 4 ICs, 2 connectors, 2 switches and 2 LEDs.
From the project
A custom Kicad PCB based on the ESP32 and LIS3DH accelerometer. I built this to use as a low power device to detect when my washing machine starts and to send me a notification when it ends.

Since I wanted to order the PCB with JLCPCB, I wanted to ensure I picked parts that they have in stock. To do this, I used easyeda2kicad to pull the schematic, footprint and 3D model of a given LCSC part number. To run the script:

Wakeboard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Wakeboard use?
The Wakeboard is built around the ESP32-S3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Wakeboard PCB?
The Wakeboard measures 33.6 × 56.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.575 mm thick.
How many components are on the Wakeboard?
32 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Wakeboard design files?
From the alexspurling/wakeboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Wakeboard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with alexspurling. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Wakeboard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
