About the Analog audio visualizer PCB

Analog audio visualizer is an open source PCB design by alimleahat, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 130 × 100 mm, with 65 components from 29 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM2902, L7812, L7912 and LM2904. By type, the board carries 16 test points, 16 resistors, 14 capacitors, 7 diodes, 4 ICs and 3 transistors.

It belongs with the audio and test & measurement designs in this gallery.

From the project

Three-band analog audio visualizer built in KiCad for ELEC2101, with PCB files, assembly photos, and bench measurements.

A three-band audio visualizer built for ELEC2101 Electronic Circuits and Systems Design. It separates audio into bass, midrange, and treble, with an LED responding to each band.

Following the course guide and reference circuit, I completed the schematic in KiCad, assigned component footprints, laid out and routed the PCB, prepared the manufacturing files, assembled the board, and tested it in the lab.

Analog audio visualizer: common questions

How big is the Analog audio visualizer PCB?

The Analog audio visualizer measures 130 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Analog audio visualizer?

65 components, from 29 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Analog audio visualizer design files?

From the alimleahat/analog-audio-visualizer-pcb repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Analog audio visualizer design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with alimleahat. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
