About the Divtiesus acer PCB

Divtiesus acer is an open source ESP8266 PCB design by arleybls, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 76.6 × 57.4 mm, with 40 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP-12E, from the ESP8266 family. Other key parts include the EPM240T100, 628128, 28C64, LM1117MP-3.3 and 74HCT165D. By type, the board carries 15 capacitors, 11 resistors, 6 ICs, 2 connectors, 2 switches and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the test & measurement, retro computing and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

Custom 2-layer PCB re-layout of DivTIESUS — a DivMMC SD card interface for the ZX Spectrum, with the upstream CPLD firmware unchanged.

A custom-PCB fork of DivTIESUS — a DivMMC-compatible SD/MMC card interface for the ZX Spectrum.

This fork is a board re-layout only: the CPLD firmware and its pinout are unchanged from upstream, so the existing logic runs on the new PCB without modification.

The entire cpld/ directory matches the maple edition:

Divtiesus acer: common questions

What microcontroller does the Divtiesus acer use?

The Divtiesus acer is built around the ESP-12E, from the ESP8266 family.

How big is the Divtiesus acer PCB?

The Divtiesus acer measures 76.6 × 57.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Divtiesus acer?

40 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Divtiesus acer design files?

From the arleybls/divtiesus-acer repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Divtiesus acer design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with arleybls. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Divtiesus acer without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP8266 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
