About the FF connector PCB

FF connector is an open source PCB design by BerkeleyLab, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65.5 × 5.5 mm, with 12 components from 1 distinct parts.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Hardware design for the DxP (Distributed sensor Profiling) sensor probe.

This repository contains the PCB designs for DxP (Distributed sensor Profiling) sensor probes—including sensor sections and the connector/extension pieces needed to assemble probe chains.

Not included: the data logger hardware (it lives in the separate DxP data logger repository). Not included: the mechanical probe tube/epoxy assembly instructions. This repo focuses on the PCB designs only.

FF connector: common questions

How big is the FF connector PCB?

The FF connector measures 65.5 × 5.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 0.7874 mm thick.

How many components are on the FF connector?

12 components, from 1 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the FF connector design files?

From the BerkeleyLab/DxP-sensor-probes repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the FF connector design in my own project?

It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
