About the Eeg PCB

Eeg is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by bradkim06, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 6-layer board measuring 35 × 23 mm, with 71 components from 26 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ISP2053-AX-RS, from the Nordic nRF family. Other key parts include the NPM1300-QEAA-R, LM2664M6X/NOPB, ADS1299-4PAGR, BMI270 and TPD4E1B06DRLR. By type, the board carries 43 capacitors, 10 resistors, 8 ICs, 4 connectors, 2 diodes and 2 inductors.

It belongs with the iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

gas sensing iot device(nrf52832)

Firmware version 1.0.2 for HHS's portable industrial gas monitor. The application runs on a custom nRF52832 board, measures multiple gases, and transmits real-time readings over Bluetooth® Low Energy. Environmental data is fused with the Bosch BSEC2 library to provide indoor air-quality indicators in addition to electrochemical gas concentrations.

Eeg: common questions

What microcontroller does the Eeg use?

The Eeg is built around the ISP2053-AX-RS, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Eeg PCB?

The Eeg measures 35 × 23 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Eeg?

71 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Eeg design files?

From the bradkim06/gas_nordic repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Eeg design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which bradkim06 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Eeg without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
