About the Medivault PCB

Medivault is an open source ESP32 PCB design by chislonljoseph, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 98.5 × 47 mm, with 32 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32E, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3, DS3231SN_ and DHT22. By type, the board carries 10 resistors, 7 capacitors, 4 ICs, 4 connectors, 3 diodes and 2 switches.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP32-based smart medicine storage and reminder PCB designed in KiCad 10 with complete manufacturing files and documentation.

MediVault is a custom-designed smart medicine management PCB developed using KiCad 10.

The project provides an intelligent hardware platform capable of storing medicine schedules, monitoring environmental conditions, reminding users through visual and audible alerts, and controlling external mechanisms such as a servo-operated medicine compartment.

The PCB has been designed as a compact two-layer board suitable for fabrication and future firmware development.

Medivault: common questions

What microcontroller does the Medivault use?

The Medivault is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32E, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Medivault PCB?

The Medivault measures 98.5 × 47 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Medivault?

32 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Medivault design files?

From the chislonljoseph/Medivault repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Medivault design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with chislonljoseph. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Medivault without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
