About the KeyGridBadge PCB
KeyGridBadge is an open source ESP32 PCB design by dczia, published on GitHub under the Unlicense license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 79.1 × 129 mm, with 94 components from 30 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the SHITTY_ADDON, TPS73233DBVT, FT231XS, SAINTCON-Minibadge and CHERRY_SK6812. By type, the board carries 30 capacitors, 23 ICs, 18 diodes, 14 resistors, 5 connectors and 2 transistors.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, wearables and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

News September 2021 Added new pre built binary file of the badge firmware with bug fixes for the boot loop issue. (Thanks to Aask for the guidance!) Updated final software readme and this readme.
August 2018 FINAL INO is up use that for use with the final board. ProtoDos is frozen for now. Library changes + board layout changes mean Final and Dos aren't really interchangable.

KeyGridBadge: common questions
What microcontroller does the KeyGridBadge use?
The KeyGridBadge is built around the ESP32-WROOM, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the KeyGridBadge PCB?
The KeyGridBadge measures 79.1 × 129 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the KeyGridBadge?
94 components, from 30 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the KeyGridBadge design files?
From the dczia/Defcon26-Badge repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the KeyGridBadge design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its Unlicense license, which dczia chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the KeyGridBadge without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
