About the Make 68000 Great Again PCB

Make 68000 Great Again is an open source PCB design by delphicchen, published on GitHub under the BSD-3-Clause license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 127 × 97.3 mm, with 45 components from 28 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HC139, 74HC14, MC68HC000RC10, AS6C4008-55PCN and 28C256. By type, the board carries 12 capacitors, 8 ICs, 8 resistors, 6 connectors, 6 diodes and 2 crystals.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery, and the repository also holds 1 earlier revision of it.

From the project

A hardware fork of 68k nano, Matt Sarnoff's minimal single-board Motorola 68000 computer, adapted to use a PGA-68 packaged CPU (MC68HC000RC) instead of the original DIP-64, and re-laid-out on a 4-layer board.

A hardware fork of 68k nano, Matt Sarnoff's minimal single-board Motorola 68000 computer, adapted to use a PGA-68 packaged CPU (MC68HC000RC) instead of the original DIP-64, and re-laid-out on a 4-layer board.

The electrical design — the memory map, glue logic, RAM/ROM/UART, the ROM firmware, and all software — is Matt Sarnoff's original work, used here under the BSD-3-Clause license (see below). This fork only changes the CPU package and the physical board layout; the schematic netlist is unchanged.
