A group of RC2014 PCBs I've designed to expand my system

I've used SMT on pretty much all the boards. In my professional life I've done a lot of work with SMT and don't find it that difficult. I'd recommend some solder paste and a hot air setup along with a good soldering iron, a flux pen and various sizes of solder wick. I've converted a toaster oven into a reflow oven for when I'm doing more that one unit builds. This route requires you purchase a solder paste stencil with your PCBs.

RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface: common questions

What microcontroller does the RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface use?

The RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface is built around the ARDUINO LEONARDO PRO MICRO, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface PCB?

The RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface measures 104 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface?

24 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface design files?

From the dennisperry/RC2014_PCBs repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dennisperry. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the RC2014-Leonardo-Micro-Interface without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
