About the Esp32c3 remote PCB

Esp32c3 remote is an open source ESP32 PCB design by fborello-lambda, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40 × 100 mm, with 19 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 4 switches, 4 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 battery holder.

It belongs with the power & battery, iot & wireless and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

Revision G is a 40 x 100 mm, 0.8 mm, two-layer controller for the dimmer. The ESP32-C3 SuperMini is directly soldered to the shared Shared:ESP32-C3-SuperMini SMD landing-pad footprint; there are no socket strips. A direct-solder Adafruit 2765 Mini Thumbstick controls brightness, three tactile buttons provide ON/SELECT, OFF/BACK, and PRESET, and a small I2C OLED reports state. There is no LDR in this revision.

Esp32c3 remote: common questions

What microcontroller does the Esp32c3 remote use?

The Esp32c3 remote is built around the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Esp32c3 remote PCB?

The Esp32c3 remote measures 40 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 0.8 mm thick.

How many components are on the Esp32c3 remote?

19 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Esp32c3 remote design files?

From the fborello-lambda/pcbs_llm_driven_design repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Esp32c3 remote design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with fborello-lambda. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Esp32c3 remote without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
