From the project

Documentation of the merged wigglegram camera

This Maturitätsarbeit details the design, development, and implementation of a custom-built, portable stereoscopic camera capable of capturing animated wigglegrams. While the wigglegram effect has traditionally been limited to specialized analog film cameras or bulky adapters, this project represents the world's first digital wigglegram camera outside of a few private prototypes. The camera utilizes four horizontally aligned camera modules controlled by multiple processors to capture the wigglegrams. The device surpasses most of its initial goals, such as a synchronization between the first…

Main: common questions

What microcontroller does the Main use?

The Main is built around the INA226AIDGSR, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Main PCB?

The Main measures 115 × 82.3 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.234 mm thick.

How many components are on the Main?

249 components, from 55 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Main design files?

From the HelloAlex4/Maturitaetsarbeit-Design-and-Development-of-a-Portable-Stereoscopic-Wigglegram-Camera repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Main design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Main without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
