From the project
Mini Current Meter using INA228A ultra-precise digital power monitor
This tool provides a logging function that captures data on voltage, current and power consumption. Voltage input range is from 0 to 35V, maximum current input is 10A.
High-resolution - By using Texas Instruments INA228 IC - 20-bit delta-sigma ADC, it can obtain measurement data with 195µV bus voltage and 163.84mV shunt voltage resolution.
Microcontroller on board - No need for a client PC when measuring. Data is sent directly to the server.

Mini current meter: common questions
What microcontroller does the Mini current meter use?
The Mini current meter is built around the ESP32-C3-WROOM-02-N4, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Mini current meter PCB?
The Mini current meter measures 30 × 43 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Mini current meter?
38 components, from 27 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Mini current meter design files?
From the hnz1102/mini-current-meter repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Mini current meter design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with hnz1102. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Mini current meter without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
