From the project

Reworked cheaper, maybe faster but less redundant drone controller.

This is a codebase that is woring to create a hardware+software solution for dron control and management in a relatively modular manner. This is a codebase that is woring to create a hardware+software solution for dron control and management in a relatively modular manner. This needs to be inherenly zero-trust, zero-fail and easy to analyse statically. The langauge of choice is C, with rust and python tooling accepted as well.Follow the 10 rules as set by nasa for code, the same should apply here due to the similar no-fail environment. Currently, the main control board has been designed and…

Main: common questions

What microcontroller does the Main use?

The Main is built around the USBLC6-2SC6, from the Raspberry Pi family.

How big is the Main PCB?

The Main measures 75.5 × 50.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Main?

112 components, from 56 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Main design files?

From the iamdarshg/drone-arm repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Main design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with iamdarshg. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Main without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
