Imogen Wren Business Card Light Show PCB

The project is a business card that can be handed out at gigs and work, and also a fun project to build!

1. Mini pocket lightshow. Rechargable and interactive. Probably get it fabbed so it isnt a soldering project, but include a programming port so it can be reprogrammed easily. Advantages: - Fun programming challenge - Can link to repo with working code in case of bricking - Card more likely to be used in the open and interacted with over time - Would have to be handed out with everything attached - Could exclude battery and make a point of indicating to reuse broken disposible vape for…

ImogenWren: common questions

What microcontroller does the ImogenWren use?

The ImogenWren is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ImogenWren PCB?

The ImogenWren measures 85.1 × 53.3 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ImogenWren?

83 components, from 40 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ImogenWren design files?

From the low-poly-studio/esp32-faerfly repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ImogenWren design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with low-poly-studio. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ImogenWren without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
