About the Robot PCB

Robot is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Mario-dango, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 131.5 × 75.3 mm, with 34 components from 22 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S2-DevKitC-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the DFR0299, module_mpu6050, DRV8825_izq and DRV8825_der. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 7 connectors, 5 modules, 4 resistors, 3 ICs and 3 diodes.

It belongs with the robotics & motion, iot & wireless and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

Robot: common questions

What microcontroller does the Robot use?

The Robot is built around the ESP32-S2-DevKitC-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Robot PCB?

The Robot measures 131.5 × 75.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Robot?

34 components, from 22 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Robot design files?

From the Mario-dango/Proyecto-RV repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Robot design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Mario-dango. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Robot without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
