About the Lora-Puck PCB

Lora-Puck is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by MohamadAminGhanoum, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 40.2 × 44.9 mm, with 50 components from 31 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the SX1262IMLTRT, PE4259, W25Q128JVS, AP2112K-3.3TRG1 and HTU21D. By type, the board carries 25 capacitors, 8 resistors, 6 ICs, 4 inductors, 2 crystals and 2 switches.

It belongs with the rf & radio and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

im planning on doing the lorapuck, while adding some simple and accurate sensors, which i believe will make this a lot more useful to me.

Lora-Puck: common questions

What microcontroller does the Lora-Puck use?

The Lora-Puck is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Lora-Puck PCB?

The Lora-Puck measures 40.2 × 44.9 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Lora-Puck?

50 components, from 31 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Lora-Puck design files?

From the MohamadAminGhanoum/Lora-Puck repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Lora-Puck design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MohamadAminGhanoum. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Lora-Puck without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
