From the project

A Raspberry Pi Zero 2W shield built from a copy of the Sofar Bristlemouth mote: ADIN2111 two-port 10BASE-T1L with PoDL, powered from the bus, 5 V for the Pi, a 24 V payload port, and a ~50 W power path (absolute max at 24 V). Potted.

Claude Code does the schematic capture, up to a design-review package. Nick reviews, lays out, routes and brings up the board.

Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111: common questions

What microcontroller does the Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111 use?

The Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111 is built around the STM32U575CIU6Q, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111?

The Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111 measures 62 × 37 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111?

161 components, from 80 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111 design files?

From the nickraymond/nereus_Pi_shield_ADIN2111 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with nickraymond. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Nereus Pi shield ADIN2111 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
