From the project

Modular payload for high-speed logging and benchmarking of COTS sensors, enabling real-world performance data and open sharing.

- Pull down Boot1 instead of floating. For booting F405 with DFU, hold down the 3rd reset button. - SWD TagConnect: Layout is too close to XT30 or M.2 sockets and connector is difficult to source. - DRC check (recheck unconnected items). - Look out for "x"ed POS in the BOM file. May have been accidentally toggled off. - Reset button is too small & hard to reach - Vertical USB is less stress-tolerant (pulls on solder) - STM32F411 DFU bootloading error - Check forward current rating for Schottky diodes. - Consider using more current sensors i.e. Measure current draw from each board, from VIN…

Dumpling Main: common questions

What microcontroller does the Dumpling Main use?

The Dumpling Main is built around the STM32F405RGTx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Dumpling Main PCB?

The Dumpling Main measures 75 × 135.2 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.599978 mm thick.

How many components are on the Dumpling Main?

296 components, from 49 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Dumpling Main design files?

From the nyuad-space/dumpling repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Dumpling Main design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with nyuad-space. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Dumpling Main without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
