About the Debouncer PCB

Debouncer is an open source PCB design by owenpmorgan, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 23.6 × 20 mm, with 11 components from 8 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 4 resistors, 3 connectors, 1 transistor, 1 switch, 1 diode and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

The motivation for this project is to create an electronic nose system using a low cost device. Essentially this means using an MCU rather than a small board computer (SBC) like MyRio or Raspberry Pi.

The motivation for this project is to create an electronic nose system using a low cost device. Essentially this means using an MCU rather than a small board computer (SBC) like MyRio or Raspberry Pi.

The benefits of using an SBC are that inference (that is, running the model on a new input to classify it) can stay in the realm in which models are built and a single script or two can take care of the whole model for both training and inference, via tools such as Matlab, Octave, LabView, TensorFlow etc.

Debouncer: common questions

How big is the Debouncer PCB?

The Debouncer measures 23.6 × 20 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Debouncer?

11 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Debouncer design files?

From the owenpmorgan/STM_Based_Electronic_Nose_Platform repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Debouncer design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with owenpmorgan. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
