From the project

CAD files for the student workshop Phyduino Pico2 Arduino IDE compatible board.

An Arduino Uno-style development board built around the Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller, designed by the University of Toronto Department of Physics, Electronics Support Services, for the Introduction to Electronics course. Students assemble part of the board themselves, learning surface-mount soldering, microcontroller programming, analogue-to-digital conversion and digital communication.

Phyduino pico2: common questions

What microcontroller does the Phyduino pico2 use?

The Phyduino pico2 is built around the SC1510-A4, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Phyduino pico2 PCB?

The Phyduino pico2 measures 68.6 × 53.3 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6162 mm thick.

How many components are on the Phyduino pico2?

152 components, from 64 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Phyduino pico2 design files?

From the perc-sw/phyduino_pico2 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Phyduino pico2 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which perc-sw chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Phyduino pico2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
