About the MC68000 PCB

MC68000 is an open source PCB design by ppsilv, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 257.6 × 228.4 mm, with 58 components from 24 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74LS00, 74LS05, 74LS161, ICM7555xB and 68000D. By type, the board carries 20 resistors, 16 capacitors, 12 ICs, 4 jumpers, 3 diodes and 1 crystal.

From the project

This is my MC68000 first project.

The idea behind this project is to develog a minicomputer as if I was in 1980. I will try to use chips of that era except for memory because the memories of that time were small in storage quantity.

I know that a concept of a minicomputer is not an exact science, so it is not easy to reach a consensus on the subject, so I will use a definition that I found very pertinent at the time of the reign of minicomputers. Since data storage and memory were very expensive at that time, a minicomputer for its price had to have many of these components.
