Open-Source keyboard PCB designs for the Cosmos Keyboard Generator

GPIO and SPI & I2C should be fully VIK-compatible. RGB can be used on one of the flex PCB connector, through-hole pad, or VIK module, but not multiple at the same time. This is a limitation of the flex PCB not having an RGB return pin. If you are using RGB through the VIK connector, solder the "RGB->VIK" jumper.

When connected to USB, 5V on the VIK connector will be 5V. However, it will be equal to battery voltage when operating off battery power (3.3-4.2V).

Lemon pcb wireless: common questions

What microcontroller does the Lemon pcb wireless use?

The Lemon pcb wireless is built around the XCVR_MS88SF2, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Lemon pcb wireless?

The Lemon pcb wireless measures 29.9 × 42 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Lemon pcb wireless?

36 components, from 25 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Lemon pcb wireless design files?

From the rianadon/Cosmos-Keyboard-PCBs repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Lemon pcb wireless design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with rianadon. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Lemon pcb wireless without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
