About the Robosub Power PCB

Robosub Power is an open source PCB design by ryos17, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 120 × 60 mm, with 45 components from 23 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the INA300AIDSQT, SN74LVC1G97DBVR, AUIR3241STR, BSC0702LSATMA1 and NVTR01P02LT1G. By type, the board carries 11 connectors, 11 resistors, 8 ICs, 6 capacitors, 3 diodes and 2 jumpers.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Stanford Robosub Electrical Repository

The first hardware generation of the Stanford RoboSub vehicle. This generation is deprecated — the physical sub no longer exists — and the design files are kept here for reference only. New work happens in gen2/ (current platform) and gen3/ (in progress).

The three gen 1 boards live under PCBs/:

- ComputePowerBoard/ — regulated power supply for the compute stack. - PowerDistributionBoard/ — takes battery input and distributes it to the vehicle's power rails. - TeensyBoard/`** — Teensy 4.0 carrier with the audio shield, the main microcontroller board for this generation.

Robosub Power: common questions

How big is the Robosub Power PCB?

The Robosub Power measures 120 × 60 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.64592 mm thick.

How many components are on the Robosub Power?

45 components, from 23 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Robosub Power design files?

From the ryos17/robosub-ee repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Robosub Power design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ryos17. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
