About the Arduino UNO R4 Minima PCB
Arduino UNO R4 Minima is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by sabogalc, published on GitHub under the WTFPL license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68.6 × 53.3 mm, with 72 components from 36 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the R7FA4M1AB3CFM#AA0, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the ISL854102FRZ-T. By type, the board carries 26 resistors, 23 capacitors, 8 connectors, 4 LEDs, 3 diodes and 3 inductors.
From the project
A collection of Arduino boards recreated from scratch in KiCad. Legacy USB connectors have been replaced with USB-C where applicable.
- Silkscreen Squares: The silkscreen square etches on the left side were a bit cumbersome to design. - Microcontroller Routing: Routing beneath the R7FA4M1AB3CFM#AA0 microcontroller was also relatively intricate, as seen below.
Naturally, shorting any one of these pins to the other can cause a detrimental short, and the 0.5mm pitch makes it easy to do so. Please be careful when soldering the buck regulator!
