From the project

The SparkFun GNSS Disciplined Oscillator (GNSSDO / GNSSDO+) is a precision time and frequency reference based on the Septentrio mosaic-T GNSS receiver. It features a disciplined 10MHz TCXO / OCXO oscillator, aluminum enclosure, Ethernet, PTP broadcast, data logging, multiple power options, and supports the Fugro AtomiChron timing service.

SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus: common questions

What microcontroller does the SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus use?

The SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus is built around the ESP32-WROVER-IE-N16R8, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus PCB?

The SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus measures 151.9 × 101.6 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus?

347 components, from 75 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus design files?

From the sparkfun/SparkFun_GNSSDO repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which sparkfun chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SparkPNT GNSSDO Plus without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
