About the DMX Demonstrator - DMX-512 IO Module (DMX-IO1)
DMX Demonstrator - DMX-512 IO Module (DMX-IO1) is an open source PCB design by SparkyBobo, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 60 × 60 mm, with 20 components from 10 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the RFM-0505S, 6N137 and MAX485. By type, the board carries 7 resistors, 5 ICs, 4 capacitors, 3 connectors and 1 switch.
From the project
DMX Demonstrator
The DMX-512 IO Module is a stand-alone module which generates or receives a DMX-512 signal, allowing the DMS Demonstrator system to communicate with DMX-512-compatible equipment. It can be used with a Receiver (DMX-RX2) to receive or re-transmit DMX-512. It can also be used with a Transmitter (DMX-TX2) to transmit the data stream to DMX-512.
Sadly, Sparkfun and Adafruit do not offer all of the components required for DMX-512 IO Module. Additionally, Digikey does not carry Neutrik for connecting to the DMX devices. The parts can be purchased from Mouser or Newark. Some parts can be purchased…
