Useful Raspberry Pi HATs for ArduPilot

This repository contains 3x archived hardware PCB designs for Raspberry Pi HAT's, created in KiCAD.

The Kakute HAT is an expansion board for the Raspberry Pi, which allows a KakuteF4 (non-AIO) to be interfaced (send telemetry to the Pi). Additionally, it contains breakout ports for RC In, GPS, Servo Out and others.

It contains a 5V, 2.5A power supply for the Raspberry Pi and has power switches for both the Kakute and Pi.

PiConnectLite: common questions

What microcontroller does the PiConnectLite use?

The PiConnectLite is built around the PPPC202LFBN-RC, from the Raspberry Pi family.

How big is the PiConnectLite PCB?

The PiConnectLite measures 65 × 30.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PiConnectLite?

42 components, from 33 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PiConnectLite design files?

From the stephendade/AP-HAT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PiConnectLite design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which stephendade chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the PiConnectLite without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
